Joe Clay was born in Ulm, Germany.
Education:
1981-1984 Apprentice stonemason and stone sculptor in Ulm.
1991-1997 Studied fine arts and sculpture at the Muthesia School of Fine Arts in Kiel, Germany, with Professor Jani Koblasi.
In 2012 he received a Doctorate in Liberal Arts (DLA), University of Pécs, Hungary, under Professor Colin Foster.
Creative path
1995 works as a freelance artist in Germany.
1998 organizes the global art concept “KleyCity”, installing tower-shaped sculptures in 25 countries.
2000-2019 Works as CEO of the art company ars magnifica GmbH.
