About work

“Birds, in my observation, remain silent for 4–8 seconds before the arrival of a sonic boom. This interval occurs because the acoustic signal travels through the Earth’s crust faster than the sound wave moving through the atmosphere. This phenomenon creates the image of birds as sensitive membranes that respond to this stimulus. Similarly, artists, reflecting on the aftermath of war, translate it into their works. They capture the memory of it through images, symbolism, and narratives painted using symbolic colors and metaphors.” – Yuriy Syvyryn
